Cong accuses govt of importing 5.6 million tonnes cheap steel

Ahead of the budget session, Jairam Ramesh accused PM Modi's government of allowing cheap steel imports, causing problems for steel producers. India imported 5.6 million tonnes of finished steel, the highest in five years, with China alone accounting for 1.8 million tonnes. The Congress leader demanded justice for steel producers affected by the uncompetitive market.
