US trade deficit widens slightly in December

The US trade deficit grew marginally in December, but reduced sharply in 2023 as imports fell and exports increased. On Wednesday, the Commerce Department's Census Bureau reported that the trade deficit climbed by 0.5% to $62.2 billion. The trade imbalance in November was lowered to $61.9 billion, down from $63.2 billion earlier reported.
