Shekhar Kapur's iconic film 'Mr India' was initially planned with Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role and Ramesh Sippy as the director. However, Boney Kapoor decided to change plans and collaborate with Anil Kapoor after the success of 'Woh Saat Din'. Despite initial doubts, Kapoor went ahead with the film and it turned out to be a commercial success, becoming the second highest-grossing film of 1987.
