'US set to allow GE to make engines in India for military jets'

IndiaTimes Thursday, 1 June 2023
The Biden administration is reportedly on the verge of allowing General Electric (GE) to manufacture jet engines for Indian military aircraft inside India. The joint production agreement is expected to be signed when prime minister Narendra Modi visits the United States at the end of June. The proposed deal depends on the level of transfer of technology with HAL, which will act as a licensed manufacturer for the engines.
