Wednesday, 21 June 2023 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday said the ancient practice of Yoga is truly universal and is free from any "copyrights, patents and royalty".The Prime Minister was addressing a large crowd of people, including dignitaries, outside the United Nations headquarters in New York ahead of the International Yoga Day celebration.
Recognizing its universal appeal, on 11 December 2014, the United Nations proclaimed 21 June as the International Day of Yoga by resolution 69/131. The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practising yoga. Yoga has a plethora of holistic health benefits....
In a scathing critique of previous Congress administrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lambasted their approach to dealing with Pakistan's terrorism. Modi likened their efforts to sending "love letters" to Pakistan in a bid for peace, only to witness a surge in terrorist activities as a result. His remarks underscored the need for a more assertive stance against terrorism, emphasising the imperative of safeguarding national security. Furthermore, Modi alleged that Pakistani leaders are actively advocating for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to ascend to India's prime ministership post-election. However, Modi firmly asserted that India, in its pursuit of strength and security, unequivocally demands a resilient and steadfast government.
