Telangana BJP to rope in Muslim leader to back Uniform Civil Code (UCC) move

BJP appears to have adopted a two-pronged strategy to win over minorities and make a strong pitch of its narrative in the run up to the assembly elections in Telangana later this year. On one hand, BJP brass has reportedly directed state leaders to maintain silence on Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and, on the other, depute a national spokesperson from the minority community to articulate its point of view.
