Fire scare on engine of under maintenance SpiceJet Q400 at IGI; no one hurt & aircraft safe
The engine of an under maintenance SpiceJet turboprop aircraft had a fire scare on Tuesday at Delhi Airport. An aircraft maintenance engineer (AME) observed fire warning on one of the engines while carrying out engine ground run at idle power at bay. A fire extinguisher was discharged and fire tenders were called in as a precautionary measure.
