India, Brazil push back against China over BRICS expansion

India and Brazil are resisting a Chinese proposal to extend the BRICS group of emerging market countries, which aims to counterbalance the influence of the US. The group which includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa are discussing the potential addition of Saudi Arabia and Indonesia at a meeting next month.
