UCC to be implemented in Uttarakhand this year: CM Dhami
The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, has announced that the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) will be implemented in the state within this year. Dhami expressed concerns about the demographic change caused by people from outside the state settling down in Uttarakhand without identity verification. He emphasized the need for a uniform law for all citizens and stated that the UCC was promised to the people during the assembly polls.
