Woman sends Rs 1 lakh to fraudster after mistaking for sister, cops retrieve funds

A Malad-based woman who had paid money to a cyberfraudster online, mistaking the unidentified accused to be her sister, got it back, thanks to the quick action of Kurar police. The 40-year-old complainant lives in an apartment at Pathanwadi, Malad East. She received a message on Facebook Messenger from her 'sister'. The message said she had gone shopping and had run out of money.
