Govt approves 75 lakh free LPG connections under Ujjwala scheme
Wednesday, 13 September 2023 The government approved the allocation of Rs 1,650 crore to oil marketing companies to implement a scheme that aims to provide 75 lakh LPG connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Labour shadow minister Nick Thomas-Symonds accuses the government of failing "comprehensively" to tackle knife crime, citing the rising cases of stabbings since 2015.
