All MBBS admissions beyond September 30 invalid; discharge students, says NMC

Over 500 students who were allotted MBBS seats in counseling sessions held after September 30 are at risk of losing their seats, as the National Medical Council has declared all admissions beyond the cutoff date as invalid. The council has ordered the immediate discharge of students admitted after the deadline. While the actual number of affected students may be higher, there are still several hundred vacant MBBS seats in government-run and self-financing medical colleges across the country. The NMC had previously issued a notice cautioning against conducting counseling beyond the cutoff date.
