Global demand spurs brothers to seek place beside sisterhood

IndiaTimes Sunday, 22 October 2023
More young Indian men are choosing to become nurse practitioners, with 30% of seats in nursing colleges in Maharashtra now occupied by men. The trend has been attributed to job stability and guarantees from international hospitals and elder care homes. While some see the trend as positive, there are still colleges and hospitals that have not opened their doors to male nurses. The high pay and global shortage of nurses are also factors attracting men to the profession.
