Men in BSc nursing course in Maharashtra double in 5 years

IndiaTimes Sunday, 22 October 2023
More young Indian men are choosing to become nurse practitioners, with the number of male students in nursing colleges increasing by 30% in the past five years. The high pay and job stability in the profession, as well as the global shortage of nurses, are attracting men to the field. However, some colleges still declare themselves as all-girls institutes, and some hospitals have not yet opened their doors to male nurses. Despite this, the trend is seen as positive and a step towards gender parity in the profession.
