Saturday, 28 October 2023 The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has released its second list of 21 candidates for the upcoming assembly polls in Rajasthan. Meanwhile, the Congress has released its third list of 19 candidates, bringing the total number of nominees declared by the party to 95. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also released its second list of candidates, with former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje set to recontest from Jhalrapatan. The counting of votes will take place on December 3.

Polling in 102 parliamentary seats across 21 states and Union Territories in the first phase of Lok Sabha Elections commenced at 7 am on April 19 and ended at 6 pm. Over 102 parliamentary constituencies in 21 states and union territories headed to the polling booth on Friday, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, and Andaman and Nicobar Islands. West Bengal recorded the highest turnout till 5 PM at 77.57 per cent, followed by Tripura at 76.10 per cent. Voter turnout in Assam stood at 70.77 per cent, while Manipur recorded a voter turnout of 68.58 per cent till 5 PM.
