Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has criticized Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for spreading falsehoods and misinformation about water projects. Shekhawat responded to Siddaramaiah's claims that the Modi-led government had not addressed Karnataka's water issues, stating that discussions on the Mekedatu project had been included in meetings but lacked consensus. Shekhawat also mentioned that several projects in Karnataka had received central assistance, with some already completed.
