Mahua Moitra seeks to drop case against media houses
Wednesday, 1 November 2023 Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra has decided to withdraw her defamation case against several media houses, while continuing the lawsuit against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai. Moitra seeks no interim relief, and her request to remove other defendants, including social media platforms X, Google, and YouTube, was made. Dubey's counsel argued that Moitra's admission of sharing parliamentary login credentials with a businessman amounted to perjury.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) searched Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra's Kolkata residence in a cash-for-query case. This action followed the CBI's filing of a First Information Report (FIR) against Moitra. The Lokpal instructed the CBI to investigate the allegations and provide monthly updates on the progress.

Mahua Moitra, recently expelled from Lok Sabha, has been nominated as the Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate for Krishnanagar. This announcement was made by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's nephew, Abhishek Banerjee, on March 10, unveiling the party's candidates for the impending Lok Sabha elections. Moitra won the Krishnanagar seat in the 2019 elections but was disqualified from the 17th Lok Sabha due to her alleged involvement in a cash-for-query scam. Now, she is set to contest for re-election from the same constituency. Moitra has served as the general secretary and national spokesperson of the AITC for the past few years.

However, "cereals that are made of refined grains – grains that have had parts of the grain kernel removed – are lower in fiber and nutrients," according to registered dietitian Kate Zeratsky.
Added sugars are also a concern. For adults, the FDA advises consuming no more than 50 grams of added sugars per day as part of a 2,000-calorie diet.
The agency recommends that
children don't exceed 25 grams.
But some cereals contain large amounts of added sugars, such as Post's Golden Crisp, which has
21 grams of added sugars in just one cup.
Zeratsky suggests sticking with cereal brands that have added sugars "in the single digits" that also contain whole grains.

Last week, workers held sit-in
protests at Google's offices in both
New York and Sunnyvale, California.
The protests were organized by the group
No Tech For Apartheid, who said that 30 workers
were fired following the initial sit-in. .
According to Jane Chung, a spokeswoman for
No Tech For Apartheid, Google has now fired
"over 20" more workers, “including non-participating
bystanders during last week’s protests.”.
Google’s aims are clear:
the corporation is attempting

its power over them, Jane Chung, a spokeswoman for No Tech For Apartheid, via 'The Independent'.

was terminated was personally and definitively
involved in disruptive activity inside our buildings.”
