The no-cheers story so far: Delhi excise policy probe brings ED to CM Arvind Kejriwal's doorstep
Wednesday, 1 November 2023 The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating alleged irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy of 2021-22 and has summoned Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for questioning. The probe agency had previously mentioned the possibility of making the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) an accused in the case. Other AAP leaders, including former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh, have already been arrested. The AAP government has denied the allegations and called the case "fake". The ED has claimed that changes in the liquor policy resulted in gains of at least Rs 338 crore for wholesale distributors who allegedly funded AAP's election campaign in Goa.
