Man gives triple talaq during video call with wife for shaping eyebrows

A man in Kanpur, India, pronounced triple talaq on his wife during a video call from Saudi Arabia because she got her eyebrows shaped against his wishes. The incident took place on October 4, but came to light when the woman lodged an FIR with the police, claiming no action had been taken. The woman had already faced harassment from her in-laws for dowry, and her husband's objection to her fashion choices. A case has been filed against her husband and others under relevant IPC sections.
