Air pollution: Stubble burning & Met factors behind Delhi-NCR misery

IndiaTimes Friday, 3 November 2023
Meteorological conditions in north-west India are not expected to change for the next two days, leading to an increase in farm fires and the air quality index remaining in the 'severe' category. The air quality is forecasted to be in the 'very poor' category until November 4, followed by 'very poor' to 'severe' for the next six days. Visibility in Delhi has been affected by pollutants from opposite wind directions. Stubble burning has been detected in Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. The Commission for Air Quality Management has implemented restrictions on construction and vehicle usage in Delhi and surrounding areas.
