Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have the highest number of Indian students pursuing education in foreign universities, comprising 12.5% of the total pool, according to a recent study. The students are primarily heading to the United States, Canada, Australia, and the United Kingdom, with emerging destinations including Germany, Kyrgyzstan, Ireland, Singapore, Russia, the Philippines, France, and New Zealand. The study also highlights the need for major universities worldwide to invest in student accommodation infrastructure to meet the rising demand. However, Indian higher education faces challenges such as outdated curricula and a lack of quality institutions.
