Agitation seeking MGNREGA dues prompted central agencies to harass party: TMC

IndiaTimes Monday, 6 November 2023
The Trinamool Congress has accused the BJP-led central government of targeting its leaders in order to weaken the party's agitation for MGNREGA dues. The TMC questioned why no action was being taken against BJP leaders who are allegedly involved in corruption. The party believes that the BJP is using central agencies to harass TMC leaders and frame them in order to weaken opposition parties in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Meanwhile, the leader of the opposition, Suvendu Adhikari, claimed that corruption was institutionalized in the TMC regime.
