LeT man behind Jammu and Kashmir army camp attack killed in PoK
Monday, 6 November 2023 Khwaja Shahid, a commander of the terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba, has been found beheaded near the Line of Control in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He was one of the masterminds behind the 2018 attack on an Indian Army camp in J&K's Sunjuwan. The circumstances surrounding his abduction and killing remain unclear, and no group has claimed responsibility. This follows a series of assassinations of wanted terrorists who had sought refuge in Pakistan and other countries.
In a scathing critique of previous Congress administrations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lambasted their approach to dealing with Pakistan's terrorism. Modi likened their efforts to sending "love letters" to Pakistan in a bid for peace, only to witness a surge in terrorist activities as a result. His remarks underscored the need for a more assertive stance against terrorism, emphasising the imperative of safeguarding national security. Furthermore, Modi alleged that Pakistani leaders are actively advocating for Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to ascend to India's prime ministership post-election.
