Kishtwar police file chargesheet against two terrorists
Tuesday, 7 November 2023 Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday filed a chargesheet against two terrorists — including Mohammad Amin Bhat alias Jahangir Saroori, the longest surviving Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist — at the National Investigation Agency (NIA) court in J&K’s Kishtwar district. One of the oldest surviving terrorists in J&K, Saroori — an A++ category terrorist — is believed to be holed up in the upper reaches of Marwah and Dachhan belt in Kishtwar district and carries an award of Rs 50 lakh on his head, announced by police and the NIA.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two suspects - Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha - in connection with Bengaluru's Rameswaram Cafe blast case on Friday. The two were nabbed near West Bengal's Kolkata. Mussavir Hussain Shazib has been identified as the alleged "mastermind" behind the low-intensity blast that occurred at a prominent eatery in Bengaluru on March 1. Shazib is accused of placing the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe. Additionally, Abdul Matheen Taha is implicated as a co-conspirator in the incident. Both Taha and Shazib hail from Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district, according to statements from the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
