Doctor parades HIV patients 'cured by biomolecules'
Cardiac surgeon based in Sonapur near Guwahati, Dr Dhani Ram Baruah, has made a big claim of curing HIV patients, removing heart blockages and even cancer patients by applying isolated "biomolecules" extracted from edible medicinal plants found in the northeast. These molecules have been named Baruah small interfering RNAs (Baruah siRNAs), which target mutated (impaired) microRNAS (miRNAs) responsible for the disease. Several patients, who claimed to have recovered after receiving treatment in Baruah's institute, came before the media along with doctors from the institute on Tuesday.
