Internet cut in two Jammu & Kashmir villages to pre-empt misuse
Internet services have been temporarily suspended since Sunday in Wampora and Hunipora villages in south Kashmir's Pulwama district in view of possible "misuse by anti-national elements/miscreants, which may cause deterioration in public order". Anticipation of a possible law and order disturbance was believed to have triggered the move. Telecom & internet service providers were directed to suspend mobile data within a 3km radius of these areas from 7pm on November 5 till 7pm on November 8, an official said citing a J&K home department order.
