Khan Study Group fined Rs 5 lakh for misleading advertisements

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has fined Khan Study Group (KSG) Rs 5 lakh for misleading advertisements and unfair trade practices. KSG had falsely claimed in its ads that a majority of selected students in the UPSC Civil Services exam were from their institute. The CCPA found that KSG concealed information about the courses opted by the successful candidates featured in their ads. The CCPA has instructed KSG to immediately discontinue these false claims.
