High court directs Delhi government to finalise proposal of specialised training academy for prosecutors
The Delhi High Court has instructed the state government to finalize its proposal for a specialized training academy for public prosecutors within four weeks. The court emphasized the importance of public prosecutors and directed the government to outline the steps taken in furtherance of the academy. The court also granted a two-week extension for the government to comply with its earlier order to provide training to newly appointed prosecutors. The court was addressing a batch of petitions concerning issues related to recruitment, appointment, and working conditions of public prosecutors in Delhi.
