India urges US for evidence in attack on San Francisco consulate: Sources
Tuesday, 14 November 2023 India has requested evidence from the US authorities under the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) in connection with an attack on the Indian consulate in San Francisco in July this year, sources informed. New Delhi has sent a request amid an ongoing probe into the incident by the National Investigation Agency (NIA). A total of 45 people were identified in connection with the attack through crowd-sourcing, the sources added. Notably, MLAT is an agreement between two or more countries for the purpose of gathering and exchanging information and evidence in criminal matters.
San Francisco's iconic Fisherman's Wharf district is experiencing an unprecedented surge in sea lions, with over one thousand spotted at Pier 39, the highest number in 15 years.

southern Oregon to Los Angeles,

the quake ignited massive, devastating
fires all over the city that could not be combated.
The fires burned for days,
resulting in the deaths of more than
3,000 people and destroying more than 28,000 buildings.
More than half of the city was
left homeless by the disaster.
Damages were estimated to close to $15 billion in

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two suspects - Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha - in connection with Bengaluru's Rameswaram Cafe blast case on Friday. The two were nabbed near West Bengal's Kolkata.
