Cyclone Midhili to graze coast on way to Bangladesh, Kolkata to get light rain

A cyclonic storm named Midhili is expected to intensify over the Bay of Bengal and make landfall in Bangladesh. While Kolkata will experience light rain, the coastal districts of West Bengal will see heavier rainfall. Another deep depression off the Andhra coast is also heading towards Odisha. However, there is no concern about the two systems interacting or developing into a super cyclone. This is the first time since 2018 that the Bay of Bengal has witnessed two simultaneous deep depressions. The cyclone was named by Maldives.
