J&K ex-minister sent to 14-day judicial custody in PMLA case
Saturday, 18 November 2023 Former J&K minister and Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party chairman Chaudhary Lal Singh, who was arrested by ED in Jammu on November 7 in connection with an alleged money laundering case, was sent to judicial custody for two weeks by a CBI special designated court on Saturday.The 64-year-old Lal Singh appeared before the court through video conferencing. The case involves an educational trust run by his wife and former MLA Kanta Andotra under PMLA.
Continuous heavy rainfall has battered numerous areas of Jammu and Kashmir, compelling the Union territory administration to take precautionary measures by closing schools across the Kashmir valley and Reasi district, as reported by officials. The persistent downpour in recent days has inflicted severe damage in various regions.
