Chief Minister M K Stalin accused the governor of illegally withholding assent to the bills and obstructing the state government's schemes. He also criticized the governor for making disparaging remarks about Tamil culture and social justice. The assembly passed a resolution to adopt the bills and requested the President to give appropriate instructions to the governor.
