Avoid travelling to Myanmar if not essential, advises Centre

As the security situation in Myanmar deteriorates further, the government asked all Indian nationals to avoid non-essential travel to the country. “Those already living in Myanmar are advised to take precaution and avoid travel to the regions affected by violence. Inter-state travel by road should also be avoided,” said the government in an advisory. The government also requested Indian nationals living in Myanmar to register with the Indian embassy in Yangon.
