IndiaTimes Wednesday, 22 November 2023
India's largest flying training organization, Red Bird, will remain suspended after the aviation regulator found lapses and decided to re-certify the organization. It is expected that the resumption of flying will take a couple of months or more. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had suspended flying at all Red Bird bases following two crashes. The DGCA conducted a special maintenance audit and found deficiencies in personnel training, maintenance schedules, and other areas. Enforcement action has been initiated, and recertification is underway.
