Trainee pilot loses contact with ATC, lands on airport taxiway in Nagpur

A woman trainee pilot from Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Udan Akademi in Rae Bareli lost contact with air traffic control (ATC) and landed on a taxiway instead of the main runway at Nagpur's Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International airport. The pilot had taken off from Gondia and was flying solo. After losing contact with ATC, she landed on the parallel taxiway. The incident has been reported to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), and an inquiry will be conducted to determine the next steps.
