NIA raids 31 locations in 5 districts to tame Maoists
Thursday, 23 November 2023 The NIA conducted raids in Bihar to expose and foil the CPI (Maoist) conspiracy to revive and strengthen the outfit in the Magadh zone. The raids aimed at uncovering the involvement of top CPI (Maoist) commanders in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Electronic devices, incriminating documents, weapons, and cash were seized. The NIA investigation revealed the conspiracy to revive and strengthen the Maoist cadres. The case was registered after the arrest of CPI (Maoist) leaders. The NIA raided multiple locations, including residences and printing press units.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two suspects - Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha - in connection with Bengaluru's Rameswaram Cafe blast case on Friday. The two were nabbed near West Bengal's Kolkata. Mussavir Hussain Shazib has been identified as the alleged "mastermind" behind the low-intensity blast that occurred at a prominent eatery in Bengaluru on March 1. Shazib is accused of placing the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe. Additionally, Abdul Matheen Taha is implicated as a co-conspirator in the incident. Both Taha and Shazib hail from Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district, according to statements from the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
