In a significant remark ahead of the UN climate change conference (COP28), India on Tuesday said the country cannot compromise with its food security in an attempt to cut methane emission under any negotiated deal. The country's stand was articulated by agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar during a review meeting on India's preparedness to showcase its climate resilient efforts at COP28 which is scheduled to be held in Dubai from November 30 to December 12.
