IISc PhD student jumps to death from hostel's 5th floor

A 21-year-old Indian Institute of Science student, Diamond Kushwaha from Delhi, allegedly jumped to death from the fifth floor of his hostel building on campus. The incident has left the student community in shock. Despite efforts to save him, Kushwaha succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. The institute expressed condolences and stated that they are yet to determine the cause of the incident. IISc has urged students and staff to seek help from the resources available for mental health support.
