Kalyan man who smothered son, strangled wife arrested

Deepak Gaikwad, the father of the seven-year-old boy and his mother who were found murdered in their Kalyan home, was arrested for the killings. Deepak confessed to smothering his son by clipping his nose and strangling his wife. He had incurred "huge losses" in his investments company, which led to disputes with his wife. Deepak informed family members about the murders before leaving the house and driving to another district. The deceased woman's family members refused to claim the bodies, and investors who had invested around Rs 80 crore in Deepak's company are now concerned about their money.
