IndiaTimes Sunday, 10 December 2023
JD(S) expelled suspended Karnataka unit president CM Ibrahim and national vice-president CK Nanu for anti-party activities. The party's national executive committee unanimously decided to expel Ibrahim and Nanu. They openly criticized party supremo HD Devegowda's decision to ally with BJP for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Deve Gowda stated that their public criticism damaged the party's image and leadership. Ibrahim, who joined JD(S) after leaving Congress, was uncomfortable with the party's changed stance towards Muslims.
