Security tightened in and around Parliament complex day after lapses

After a day of major security breach in Parliament, stringent measures were implemented on Thursday in and around the building. The police and security staff at Parliament carefully checked the identification of people going into the area. Outside Transport Bhavan, located just meters away from the Parliament complex, security personnel prohibited anyone from advancing beyond barricades until their identity cards were thoroughly checked.
