Friday, 15 December 2023 The NIA arrested two accused and seized an Indian Army uniform, arms and ammunition, and other incriminating materials during raids at 23 places across four states in a PLFI extortion and levy collection case. The arrested individuals are linked to the cadres of PLFI, a banned terror organization in Jharkhand. The raids were conducted in Jharkhand, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, and New Delhi. The investigations revealed that the PLFI cadres were involved in generating funds through extortion and were conspiring to commit various terrorist activities.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two suspects - Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha - in connection with Bengaluru's Rameswaram Cafe blast case on Friday. The two were nabbed near West Bengal's Kolkata. Mussavir Hussain Shazib has been identified as the alleged "mastermind" behind the low-intensity blast that occurred at a prominent eatery in Bengaluru on March 1. Shazib is accused of placing the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe. Additionally, Abdul Matheen Taha is implicated as a co-conspirator in the incident.
