IndiaTimes Saturday, 23 December 2023
Nashik, Ahmednagar, and Pune police collaborated to create a green corridor for the transportation of a brain-dead farmer's organs. The liver and two kidneys were transported to Pune hospitals, while the heart was flown to Ahmedabad. The eyes were donated to a hospital in Nashik. Traffic personnel ensured smooth passage for the ambulances, reducing travel time significantly. The farmer had sustained severe injuries in an accident and was brought to Nashik for treatment.
