All’s well in JD(U): Rajiv Ranjan alias Lalan Singh dismisses reports of removal from party post
Amidst swirling speculation within JD(U) about a potential leadership change, its national president Rajiv Ranjan alias Lalan Singh dismissed Saturday suggestions of his removal during the party’s national executive and council meeting on December 29 in New Delhi. For his part, Bihar CM and JD(U) de facto head Nitish Kumar visited Singh’s home in Patna, and the two leaders discussed the current political scenario ahead of the party’s crucial meeting. Lalan Singh, who became party president in December 2022, has had a complex relationship with Nitish.
