Congressman who lost Rajya Sabha seat by one vote is now UP in charge
Sunday, 24 December 2023
Congress party appoints Avinash Pande as the new in-charge for Uttar Pradesh, replacing Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. Pande, a former Congress Rajya Sabha MP, has been associated with the party for over three decades and is known to be close to Rahul Gandhi. He has previously served as the in-charge for Jharkhand and was removed from the post in Rajasthan during a high-pitched tussle. Pande's appointment is part of the Congress party's organizational changes ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
