Thakur participated in the 'Good Governance Day' programme in Shimla to celebrate Vajpayee's birth anniversary. He paid tribute to Vajpayee and distributed fruits to patients at Shimla's Dayal Upadhyay Hospital. Thakur emphasized the establishment of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes under Vajpayee's government.
