BJP has weaponised MPs suspensions, says Kharge

IndiaTimes Monday, 25 December 2023
Congress president criticized the BJP for "weaponizing" privileges motions and suspending MPs, warning of the denigration of Parliamentary practices and subversion of democracy. He said history would judge presiding officers of Parliament harshly for not seeking accountability from the government on crucial issues like border incursions by China, unrest in Manipur, and the Parliament attack. Kharge said the government has escaped accountability as it spoke to the media instead of addressing the issues in Parliament.
