Wednesday, 27 December 2023 Trinamool Congress leader Derek O'Brien criticized the central government for its silence on the recent security breach in Parliament, comparing it to the 2001 attack on Parliament. O'Brien highlighted that after the 2001 attack, the prime minister and home minister had made statements in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. In contrast, he noted that the government has remained silent on the recent breach, where two individuals entered the Lower House of Parliament, released gas, and shouted slogans.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is holding a mega rally in Delhi today to protest against the arrest of its national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal is currently in the Enforcement Directorate custody in connection with a money-laundering case.
