Certificate from any school attended can be submitted under new Juvenile Justice Act 2015: HC

Bombay high court sets aside sessions court order, stating that an accused claiming to be a juvenile does not need to provide a date of birth certificate from their 'first' school. Any school certificate can now be submitted under the new Juvenile Justice Act 2015. The accused, who is facing charges of rape and kidnapping, sought relief and for the case to be transferred to the juvenile court. The high court quashes the sessions court order and remands the matter for an inquiry by the trial court under the JJ Act, 2015.
