Adani-Hindenburg row: Supreme Court to pronounce its verdict on January 3

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 2 January 2024
The Supreme Court will pronounce its judgement on petitions seeking a court-monitored investigation into allegations made by Hindenburg Research against Adgroup of companies for violations of the stock market. The Adani Group has dismissed the charges as lies, stating compliance with all laws and disclosure requirements. The court asked SEBI to probe independently and constituted an expert committee to investigate. The court does not doubt SEBI's actions and cannot treat the Hindenburg report as a true state of affairs. The court will determine if SEBI's investigation was credible or if an independent organization or SIT is needed.
